  Very poorly dog has been rushed to emergency vets!

  the dog has been rushed to the emergency vets!

  i am really worried... she had started to improve and now has become seriously ill... took her to the vets yesterday and they think her stomach is ulcerated... gave her injections and medicine to take at home... today she is even worse, she hasn't eaten for 4 days... when she does eat she vomits it back up... she is also drinking vast amounts of water.... i phoned the vets and they wanted her in immediately... it's after ten pm, so they must think she is urgent.

  carrot has taken her and i'm waiting by the phone for news.... just want her well... this is awful!

  Does mankind need religon to have morality?

  an arguement i've encountered recently is: god tells us right from wrong.

  if you don't have a reason to do right instead of wrong then no one will have any morals.. i disagree with this entirely of course.

  what kind of morality is it when you are only doing what is right out of fear of being punished for doing what is wrong?.

  some people rave about certain celebs as being so great and in reality, what's so great about them?.

  i think harrison ford is a good actor but not great.

  same goes for tom cruise.. patty labelle, i've seen a few times live.

  I used to really dislike Ron Perlman, but his performance in Sons Of Anarchy is beginning to win me over.

  Tom Cruise is about the worst actor ever....Well, maybe a tie with John Travolta.

  I can't take Helena Bonham Carter. She tries waaay too hard.

  Brad Pitt is an embarrassment.

  Margaret Cho makes me actually angry, as does Dane Cook. Dane Cook steals jokes from other comedians with real talent.

  I can't stand that Russell Brand idiot.

  Any top 40 pop bands or "artists" these days. Reconstituted, talentless, unimaginative GARBAGE!

  Had a great weekend fishing on the Washington Coast.

  then caught an average, albeit very bloody coho (silver) salmon.. .

  then, the big surprise came with a small thresher shark.

  Cut the thresher into steaks, soaked the meat overnight in buttermilk, then grilled it. Absolutely delicious!

  What is the oldest car you have owned?

  here is mine- a 1947 chrysler windsor club coupe.

  i overhauled the engine under a big oak tree- push button starter- flat head 6cyl engine- a carry over from ww2 technology.

  a real tube radio, which after i fixed, could pick up am stations over 500 miles away- seats like an over stuffed sofa.

  I had a '68 Pontiac GTO convertible with a 455 under the hood that rated out at 335 horsepower. I was 17 and got busted doing 135mph at night on a deserted Utah highway. Dad confiscated the keys and sold it the next week. I loved that car.
